A brewery lives and dies by its vibe—and these days, that vibe takes shape online long before a guest ever walks through the door. Crisp beer and fresh, scratch-made food are the heart of the experience, and the photos have to carry that same freshness to the screen.
That's where we come in. Working with Susie at Knife & Fork Media Group is always a pleasure, and on this shoot we had the joy of meeting Sue Rigler, the gracious owner of Hundred Mile Brewing—a place that makes every visitor feel welcome the moment they arrive. We wanted the imagery to feel just as warm.
The hero frame pairs a generous house salad—peppery greens, shaved parmesan, ribbons of carrot, and bursts of tomato—with a tall, golden pour crowned by a soft foam head, all set on a rustic wood table with the taproom glowing gently behind. We kept the greens crisp and backlit the beer so it practically sparkles, balancing both so neither one steals the other's light. A second dish waits softly out of focus, hinting at a full table without crowding the frame, while the muted tones of the room keep everything feeling relaxed and real.
Photographing food and drink together is a balancing act—greens wilt, foam falls, condensation builds—and catching both at their peak in a single frame is a skill earned over years of restaurant and brewery shoots.
If you want imagery that captures the flavor and the feeling of your taproom, let's create something together. Get in touch to plan your shoot.
